Episode Notes

In this Episode of the Temperamental Gooner Podcast. Omari chairs and Toes and Kibs go up against each other to take different positions on the legacy of the Great Arsene Wenger.  The boys are joined by friend of the show and special guest Chigs, a Liverpool fan but very much a fan of Wenger in this special episode.    In Part 1: The prosecution and defense clash on Wenger's golden period from 1996 to 2006, with Toes posing that although successful, Wenger's great teams ultimately underachieved. Kibs & Chigs  set out the defense that although  the team didn't dominate, they did very well to keep up with Ferguson's United and their failure to dominate was marginal. In Part 2:  The boys discuss the initial Emirates era and project youth (2006-2012) . Kibs & Chigs take the position that Wenger did well to compete given the limitations of the clubs finances. Toes posits that Wenger should have been smarter in the market surround the youthful team with experience and instill a stronger mentality. In Part 3: Chigs makes his swift exit, but the case rages on as Toes and Kibs discuss Wenger's final years (2013-2018) and the failure to win the league with the money they were able to spend. Kibs does his best to support Wenger in a tough era, as Toes looks to pile on the pressure.  Special thanks for Chigs to making it on the show.
