The Red Sox (89-73) concluded the 2025 MLB Regular Season with a 4-3 victory over the Detroit Tigers in front of a sellout crowd of 35,503 at Fenway Park Sunday afternoon. The Sox wrapped up by winning the final 3 series of the Regular Season.  With Sunday's victory, the Sox finish the season 16 games over .500, matching the high-water mark for the 2025 season (5X).

Jose on the Bump: The Red Sox selected the contract of Jose De Leon on Sunday, and the 33-year-old made his 1st Big League start since 2023 with the Twins in Sunday's Regular Season finale. De Leon, who went 0-9 with a 7.05 ERA in 22 Games (13 Game Starts) with Triple-A Worcester in 2025, turned in a solid outing and left the game with a 1-run lead. De Leon went 6.2 Innings and gave way to Steven Matz with 2 on & 2 out in the 7th. He walked 3, struck out 8 and induced 2

Groundball Double Plays. He picked up his 5th Big League win and his first since 2019 when he was with the Tampa Bay Rays.

Sox at the Dish: Masa Yoshida got the Red Sox on the board first with a 2-out, solo Home Run in the Bottom of the 1st Inning. It was his 4th of the season. David Hamilton tied the game at 3-3 with a 2-run Home Run in the 4th Inning. It was the 6th of the season for Hamilton and his 2nd at Fenway.  After Nick Sogard reached with a Double, he would score the go-ahead run on a Double from Jarren Duran, who picked up his 41st Double & 84 RBI.

#'s of the Night: 

--The Red Sox played 50 1-run games on the season and went 23-27 in 1-run affairs. 

--The Sox 89 Regular Season wins are the most since the club won 92 games in 2021, the last year they made it to the Playoffs.

--Yoshida hit safely in 8 of his final 9 Regular Season games.  

--The Red Sox homered in 2 of their final 8 games (4 Total) of the season.  

--Ceddanne Rafaela reached with a 2-out, bunt Single in the 1st Inning and then picked up his 20th Stolen Base of the season. Rafaela is the 4th player this season 

   with 20 or more Stolen Bases for the Sox. 

--Rafaela became the 14th different hitter to hit in the clean-up spot in Sunday's regular season finale.
