Episode Notes
On this episode of the Peristyle Podcasts hosts Ryan Abraham and Coach Harvey Hyde are back together discussing the major shakeup on the defensive side of the ball for the Trojans, with Gary Patterson coming in as the new defensive coordinator, Paul Gonzales from Baylor to come in and help coach the secondary and former TCU safety Sam Carter from Louisiana Tech for a role on the staff as well.
Coach Hyde gives his thoughts on what we learned from Patterson's introductory press conference, including his issue with Lincoln Riley not staying up on stage after introducing Patterson to the media.
He also gives his thoughts on USC's 2026 schedule, with only 11 games as of now after Notre Dame came off the schedule. The Trojans play all three Big Ten playoff teams from last season and have two bye weeks with some extra rest in the middle of the season.
