POST CAST: Wild Outclassed at Home by Reeling Devils 5-2

The Minnesota Wild suffered their 2nd straight defeat as they fell 5-2 at the hands of the New Jersey Devils Monday night at Grand Casino Arena. The Wild fell to 26-12-9 at home, and fell behind on an initial goal by the Devils in the first period. The Wild briefly tied the game on Ryan Hartman's 12th goal of the season, before the Devils again reclaimed the lead 2-1. The Devils rattled off 3 straight goals in the 3rd period to take a 5-1 lead before Marcus Foligno scored his second goal of the year to make it 5-2. Jesper Wallstedt stopped 24 of 29 shots in net for the Wild, who went 1/2 on the Power Play and hey! No Power Play goals for the Devils. The Wild host Winnipeg on Thursday for their next game.
