ESCAPE: Boston College Edges Rutgers as Anthony Palano and Mason McKenzie DELIVER Turbulent Win

Boston College Eagles eke out a 28-21 win over Rutgers in the Red Bandana Game, but questions linger about their offensive consistency and long-term outlook. AJ Black recaps BC’s explosive start with Evan Dickens and Mason McKenzie striking early, only for the offense to stall and key turnovers to bring the game back within Rutgers’ reach. Can Bill O’Brien get this unit firing for all four quarters, or will stagnation continue to haunt the Eagles?

Defensively, Anthony Palano’s breakout night fuels BC’s victory with 9 tackles and 2 key interceptions, while a scary injury to Bodie Cahoon shifts the momentum and tests depth at linebacker. AJ Black critiques Greg Schiano’s dubious coaching decisions and spotlights the defense’s critical big plays that sealed the win. As Maine and a resurgent Virginia Tech loom, can Boston College build off this performance and move beyond 4-8 predictions?
