On a special interview edition of Monday Match Analysis, Gill Gross is joined by former top-5 player Jimmy Arias to discuss the evolution of tennis and the modern game. One of the most fascinating things about tennis, is how it has continued to change over the years. I think we’ve reached a point where it’s starting to become clear how 2020s tennis is going to be viewed as an evolution. It’s one thing looking at Sinner and Alcaraz- that’s only two players. It’s when you start considering: Fils, Rune, Lehecka, Fonseca, Cobolli, and Draper… not to to say they’re all the same. But you can start to see a prototype forming for the modern player of the mid to late 2020s.
