Jahmai Jones plated a two-run single in the 5th for the Detroit Tigers only runs but it was all they needed as Keider Montero and the rest of the Detroit Tigers pitching staff held Boston Red Sox to one run on six hits. Will Vest shut the door in the 9th to earn the save. Detroit Tigers will now await the result of the Cleveland Guardians vs Texas Rangers game to determine who will be in first in the American League Central division entering the final day of the MLB regular season.
