Episode 159: Breaking down the Seminoles' 2026 pitching staff with Micah Posey

Florida State baseball begins the 2026 season in 79 days. Pitching coach Micah Posey joined the podcast for just over 35 minutes to break down the Seminoles' revamped pitching staff.

FSU's pitching staff is made up of 20 arms, including 13 newcomers. There are 14 right-handed pitchers and six left-handed pitchers. Of the newcomers, six are from the portal, three are from DII/JUCO, and four are true freshmen.

Posey discussed the improvements of returners Wes Mendes, John Abraham, and Payton Manca. He also spoke about the additions of high-level transfers Trey Beard, Bryson Moore, Cole Stokes, Cade O'Leary, & Gabe Nard.

The pitching coach also talked about FSU's new 'launch-pad,' which was installed by Driveline, and will implement biomechanics into the pitching lab.
