Well, it's happened. Miami Marlins Center Fielder Starling Marte has been traded to the Oakland Athletics in exchange for LHP Jesus Lozardo. The Marlins will also be paying the remainder of Marte's 2021 salary of 4.5 million to the A's in the trade as well. The Marlins receive a 23 year old talented Lefty with a lot of upside, and who happens to be a hometown kid. The A's receive an All Star caliber Center Fielder who is rent free for their playoff push. It's a win for both clubs. Unfortunately, it is a farewell to the Marte Partay, and I will definitely miss seeing him play everyday. I hope you will as well.
