Dontaye Draper grew up in the projects in West Baltimore and didn't have any hoop dreams or aspirations to play in the NBA. As he got older he began to excel and knew he could potentially earn a living playing basketball. After finishing his career at the College of Charleston, Dontaye began his pro career in Sydney, Australia. From there he played in Italy, France, Belgium, Croatia, Turkey, and Spain.
