RED SOX POSTCAST: Crochet Notches 14th Win, Sweep on the Table for Sunday

The Red Sox (71-59) clinched the series win with a 12-1 victory over the Yankees Saturday afternoon in the Bronx and will go for the series sweep Sunday night. With Saturday's win, the Sox have won 8 straight meetings with the Yankees, and they've have won 3 in a row on the road for the 5th time this season.  The Red Sox broke the game open with 7 runs in the 9th Inning and out-hit the Yankees, 17-7.

Crochet Day: Garrett Crochet was impressive in notching his 14th win of the season Saturday afternoon in the Bronx. Crochet finished by retiring the final 8 hitters he faced, and he struck out the side in the 7th.  Crochet gave up a solo Home Run to Giancarlo Stanton in the Bottom of the 4th and it was the only run he gave up on the day.  Crochet has allowed 15 Home Runs this season and 12 have come with no one on base. The lefty walked 1 and struck out 11.

Sox at the Dish: Sox got on the board in the 3rd against Will Warren. Trevor Story came to the plate with the bases loaded and knocked in 2 runs with a Double. The Sox loaded the bases again against Warren in the 4th and plated 2 more runs on Sacrifice Flies from Roman Anthony and Alex Bregman. Story made it 5-1 with a solo Home Run to right-field. It was Story's 20th of the season to go with 82 RBIs (17 RBIs in August). The Red Sox added on in the 9th to make it 6-1. Roman Anthony led off the inning with a Double and scored on an RBI Single from Jarren Duran.  After Story collected his 3rd hit of the game Nathaniel Lowe brought Duran in from 3rd with an RBI Single to make it 7-1. Ceddanne added on with an RBI Single.  Carlos Narvaez capped the Red Sox 7-run 9th with a 2-run Home Run, his 11th of the season. The Sox sent 11 hitters to the plate in the 9th and scored 7 runs on 7 hits.
