RECAP:  On today’s episode (03/06/2020) of The Hockey Betting Podcast, we were treated to the exquisite hockey sense and timing that make Brian and Cam a must-listen. In particular, the guys were right on the money with over the total in the Kings 7-3 win over the Wild. And Cam had the vision to warn all that he would “smash” Vegas at Calgary if they lost at Winnipeg, which turned out to perfection. On the other hand, Cam’s rant about contracting the Panthers and Saturday’s pick against them with Montreal, while understandable, did not work out. After losing four straight home games the Panthers finally prevailed. Such is hockey!

On today’s episode of The Hockey Betting Podcast, Brian Blessing and Cam Stewart take a look at betting lines for NHL games for Friday, March 6, Saturday, March 7, and Sunday, March 8, 2020. The second half of the show begins at the 13:10 mark.

As the weekend begins, the Western Conference has five teams within one point of each other all battling for the final two spots into the 2020 Stanley Cup Playoffs. In the Eastern Conference there are six teams fighting it out for the final three post-season positions. Beyond that, the upper teams are gunning for home ice advantage. It all adds up to the best weekend of the NHL regular season this far. Most important of all, Brian and Cam have sifted through it all to find the best NHL picks on the board with some real gems on Sunday.

Friday, March 6th 2020 NHL Schedule, Betting Odds, Picks

St. Louis Blues -200, 5.5 at New Jersey Devils

St. Louis holds a slim two-point lead in the West over Colorado but is a reliable 17-11-5 on the road and has won eight in a row. However, this price is prohibitive. Backers of The Note may seek puck lines, and that’s how the guys view this one.

Chicago Blackhawks -160, 6 at Detroit Red Wings (NHL Network)

Chicago’s large price on the NHL betting board could mean more puck line play. The guys admire Chicago’s recent effort and form.

Vegas Golden Knights -140, 5.5 at Winnipeg Jets

Vegas has the hot dice with nine wins in 10 games. Winnipeg is 10th in the West with no margin for error. How does that Paul Maurice coaching extension look now, Jets fans? Cam says Vegas is the better team and likes them here, especially due to goaltending.

Arizona Coyotes at Calgary Flames -145, 5.5

The Desert Dogs bit Vancouver hard in a 4-2 win to open a three-game road swing. Calgary is an expensive favourite considering their lackluster 15-12-4 home record. Listen to The Hock
