Episode Notes
Philadelphia Phillies GET WALKED OFF by the New York Mets in 6-5 loss!
Like game one of this series, the Phillies enjoyed a lead and BLEW IT! And like game one, the Phillies were abysmal with runners in scoring position as they went 2-for-10 in the loss.
Bryce Harper gave the Phillies a 2-0 lead in the top of the 5th inning with a two-run single, but the Mets STORMED back on Jesus Luzardo and Orion Kerkering in the bottom of the 5th to take a 5-2 lead.
Jesus Luzardo hit Louis Torrens to leadoff the innings, then surrendered a single to Francisco Lindor. Juan Soto followed with an RBI single. Luzardo then walked Serling Marte to load the bases with no outs. That’s when they lefty was taken out of the game. Orion Kerkering took over and allowed four more runs to cross the plate, all but one was charged to Luzardo.
After an RBI single by Edmundo Sosa in the 6th, Harrison Bader smacked a two-run homer in the 8th to tie the game at five. In the 9th, Jhoan Duran came in, an failed to record an out. Instead allowing four hits including the game winning walk off single by Brandon Nimmo.
