The Heavenly Heathland - Hankley Common Golf Club Review
Episode Notes
We discover that Hankley Common Golf Club delivers a stunning golfing experience that exceeds expectations and counters our fears about tight fairways and punishing heather. The course proves to be not only playable but absolutely beautiful with its purple heather, pristine white sand, and immaculate fairways.
• Ranked 58th in UK and Ireland, but feels like it should be ranked higher
• Fears about difficult heather and narrow fairways were unfounded
• Clubhouse is classy and welcoming with excellent facilities
• Par 3 7th hole is potentially one of the best we've played
• Course borders the Skyfall estate from the James Bond film
• Despite being recently aerated, the greens played well
• The course features more elevation changes than photos suggest
• Fairways are much wider and more forgiving than expected
• The heather in August creates stunning purple framing of holes
• We rank it in our top three courses played so far
