BUZZ: ESPN LOVES Tennessee Football TRANSFERS Kayin Lee, Xavier Gilliam

Tennessee Volunteers’ transfer class surprises with cornerback Kayin Lee and defensive tackle Xavier Gilliam landing on ESPN’s Top 100 Transfer list, while notable names like Amare Campbell and Javin Gordon are left out. Can this revamped Tennessee defense, led by Lee’s experience and Gilliam’s disruptive presence, elevate Josh Heupel’s squad in the SEC this season?

The conversation focused on the upcoming recruiting battle for five-star running back David Gabriel Georges, with speculation swirling around his potential game-changing impact and comparisons to Jamal Lewis. Key themes include Tennessee’s wild card status in college football, the quarterback competition between Faizon Brandon and George MacIntyre, and the strategic importance of recent recruits like David Sanders Jr. and Mike Matthews. With SEC Media Days approaching, all eyes are on whether Tennessee can solidify its contender status in 2026 and land its most anticipated recruit yet.
