AJ Smith-Shawver's Stuff is Promising, But He's Not Ready to Return Yet | Atlanta Braves Podcast

Lindsay Crosby recaps watching A.J. Smith-Shawver’s first Triple-A rehab start for Gwinnett: electric velocity and a deep arsenal early, but fading command and efficiency in a rough third inning as fatigue set in. He shares Smith-Shawver’s comments on needing more consistency and pitch count buildup, and explains how his timetable impacts Atlanta’s trade-deadline rotation plans and how aggressive the Braves should be in pursuing starters. Crosby also highlights the Gwinnett Stripers game-day experience at Gwinnett Field—great sight lines, family-friendly value, convenient parking, fun theme nights, and upgraded food and beverage options—encouraging fans to attend.
