NHLPA Executive Director Marty Walsh + Candy Jar Questions

Marty Walsh, NHLPA executive director, joins Matt Marchese and Mike Futa on the heels of last night’s Frozen Frenzy! Marty reacts to NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman’s comments about the ripple effects of no-movement clauses, before discussing Leo Carlsson’s offer sheet as a turning point for NHL contracts, the rising salary cap, and the recent growth of the game. After the break, Matt and Mike take a closer look at Tuesday’s 16-game schedule (29:!9) with thoughts on Anthony Stolarz’s difficult night, Alex DeBrincat’s extension with the Red Wings, the Flyers’ winless start, and much more! Finally, Producer Mike Gentile (49:49) joins the guys to pose some questions from the candy jar.
