Top 10 Touring Test Allrounders to Australia since 1979

Australia isn’t kind to touring all-rounders.

Extra bounce, long spells, hard yards — and nowhere to hide.

This list looks at the Top 10 touring all-rounders in Australia since 1979, featuring the rare few who genuinely did both jobs down under: Imran Khan, Shaun Pollock, Kapil Dev, Richard Hadlee, Ian Botham, Jacques Kallis and more.

Runs when it mattered. Wickets when nothing was happening.

Two skills. One of the toughest workplaces in cricket.

If you want an even drier / punchier version:

Australia: fast, unforgiving, no favours.

These blokes still batted, bowled — and led from the front.

Imran Khan, Pollock, Kapil Dev, Hadlee, Botham, Kallis.

All-rounders who didn’t just tour Australia — they survived it.

Happy to sharpen it further or add a one-liner for each player if you want extra bite.
