FOR GLORY: USA and Canada face-off for Olympic Gold & Seven Panthers will take home medals!

On today's edition of the Locked On FLORIDA Panthers Podcast, Armando Velez(@Mandoman12) brought in Jim Biringer(@JimBiringer) of Full Press NHL to break down the Semifinal round where USA and Canada both got victories, one year to the day that they faced in the Four Nations Final. Now these teams will face each other 46 years to the day when the USA defeated the Soviet Union on their way to the Gold Medal, looking to break their long drought. The last time USA defeated Canada on their way to a Gold medal was in 1960, so a chance to exercise demons that has gone through generations of hockey in the United States. Canada is looking for their first Gold Medal since 2014 in Sochi, and after defeating the Americans in the Four Nations the year before, they are looking to remain on top of the hockey world. The two paths for the teams have been vastly different as the USA struggled in the preliminary round and didn't trail in the knockout round while Canada cruised through the group stage and has trailed on multiple occasions as they have reached the Gold Medal game. What are the keys to the game? Who needs to step up the most on either side? Will Sidney Crosby dress after missing Canada's semifinal win over Finland? Finland claimed Bronze on Saturday after defeating Slovakia after losing to them in the Preliminary round, as seven Panthers will return home with medals around their necks.
