Welcome along to 'COACHING DIARIES' - a brand new series from The  Honest Football Podcast. This series sees one of our hosts, Charlie, a part time football coach and PE teacher, meet the great and the good in the world of sport. As a teacher, Charlie has always been fascinated by the way coaching works in different sports and the impact they can have on me as a football coach. Each week, we meet coaches from different parts of the sporting world. We will drill down into their philosophies, values and techniques in their field and find out what makes them so great at what they do. 

 To kick off our series we meet Rugby League expert Stuart Wilkinson, (@AlphaRugbyCoach). Stuart is a former pro, having played in both England and Australia for many years. Once he hung up his boots, Stuart became a coach and has since gone on to coach, England, Wales, France, GB, Leeds Rhinos, Widnes Vikings, Wigan Warriors and is currently the Head Coach of the Serbian National Team. Stuart takes us on a journey that has since made me flip my coaching philosophy on its head. A truly amazing man and a cracking episode to kick off our series. Enjoy!
