Dave works through the possible alternatives should Liverpool decide against Ismaïla Sarr. Mathias Fernandez-Pardo, Jamie Leweling, Yankuba Minteh and William Gomes are assessed for their suitability, availability and potential cost.
Fernandez-Pardo’s shooting ability is contrasted with his limited defensive contribution, while injuries, small sample sizes and selling clubs’ demands complicate Liverpool’s frantic search for another attacker.
