NOTES: Faizon Brandon, George MacIntyre TAKEAWAYS in Tennessee Football Scrimmage 1

Tennessee Volunteers offense shined in moments in first fall camp scrimmage—could a new quarterback be emerging as the frontrunner? Eric Cain spotlights Faizon Brandon's impressive deep throws and assesses George MacIntyre's steady performance, highlighting a possible shift in Tennessee's quarterback competition. Running backs like Daune Morris and Javin Gordon power the ground game, with Morris ripping off a 99-yard touchdown, raising big questions about the Vols' defensive rush defense.

Key takeaways include Josh Heupel’s praise for the running back room, the impact of receiver drops on both quarterbacks, and the strong showings from freshmen Tyreek King and veteran Mike Matthews. With Edrees Farooq suffering a season-ending injury and scrimmage No. 2 looming, how will the Volunteers adjust their depth chart and address defensive concerns before the season opener? Eric Cain breaks down what Tennessee fans need to know as fall camp heats up.
