The New York Mets took advantage of an error, leading to a seven run inning and an 8-0 win.
It might have been exactly what the Mets needed, as they put together an 7-run inning in the 4th to overwhelm the Washington Nationals.
Bo Bichette got things start off hot, taking the first pitch of the game deep and putting the Mets in front. The 4th inning saw the Mets bat around and score seven runs, capped off by a Juan Soto home run.
Clay Holmes was brilliant again, going six scoreless and lowering his season ERA to 1.75.
