The 2026 Colorado Rockies season is officially in the books. Tom and Sarah look back at the year, highlight the biggest bright spots, and discuss whether the Rockies actually made meaningful progress toward becoming competitive again.
We celebrate Hunter Goodman’s huge 41-home run season and Cole Carrigg’s outstanding finish to his rookie campaign, while looking at the young players beginning to establish themselves as potential pieces of Colorado’s future. We also discuss Jake McCarthy, TJ Rumfield, Kyle Karros, Mason Adams and others who gave Rockies fans reasons for optimism throughout the season.
But plenty of questions remain. Pitching continues to be Colorado’s biggest problem, so what needs to change heading into 2027? We discuss the young arms who could factor into next season’s staff, Warren Schaeffer’s impact on the clubhouse, the direction of the new front office, and some of the roster decisions that could be coming this offseason.
Finally, we answer the biggest question coming out of 2026: after another difficult season, what reasons do Rockies fans have to believe 2027 could be different?
