REACTION: Tennessee Football Scrimmage TAKEAWAYS for George MacIntyre, Faizon Brandon | NEW COMMIT

Tennessee Volunteers kick off spring with quarterback battles and a surging new-look defense. Is Josh Heupel’s squad raising the floor for a run at SEC glory?

Eric Cain unpacks key takeaways from Tennessee’s first spring football scrimmage, spotlighting George MacIntyre’s playmaking, Faizon Brandon’s development, and DeSean Bishop’s strategic absence. Defensive backs Edrees Farooq and Dejuan Lane impress with timely interceptions, signaling Jim Knowles’ revamped defensive scheme is already ahead of schedule.

On the recruiting trail, Tennessee lands versatile 2027 athlete Jaden Butler, bolstering secondary depth. Shifting gears to March Madness, Eric Cain previews the Sweet 16 showdown versus Iowa State, weighs the impact of Joshua Jefferson’s injury status, and debates whether Vols fans should root for Alabama or Michigan in the Elite Eight hunt.

Don’t miss this fast-paced breakdown of Tennessee’s roster developments, recruiting momentum, and the Vols’ pursuit of back-to-back Elite Eight appearances.
