One Fit CB as Liverpool FC Transfer Pressure Mounts

Dave Davis and Trev Downey examine how Liverpool’s failure to land Yan Diomande disrupted the club’s wider transfer strategy, forcing the recruitment team to reconsider its attacking options. Eintracht Frankfurt winger Jean Mattéo Bahoya emerges as a cheaper alternative, while Bradley Barcola remains under consideration despite concerns over Liverpool’s lack of a natural right winger.

Attention then turns to an increasingly urgent defensive situation. With Joe Gomez injured, Jeremy Jacquet still being carefully managed and Giovanni Leoni yet to return to training, Liverpool currently have only one established senior centre-back available. Dave discusses interest in Chelsea youngster Josh Acheampong, along with tentative links to Ezri Konsa, Marc Pubill and Ilya Zabarnyi, as pressure grows for Liverpool to sign a Premier League-ready defender.
