How This Former NFL Player Scammed Millions
Keith Grey thought the NFL might make him rich. Then he went undrafted and got cut before ever playing a game. Despite that fact he still managed to become the 9th highest paid player in the 09 draft class. Coming in right around $54 million. Keith Grey just got convicted on 9 federal counts for running a $328 million Medicare fraud scheme. He’s technically facing up to 90 years in prison. This is the story of what he did and how we got to this point. The Dark Side Of NFL Coaching Is Worse Than You Think
Through the years I’ve zoomed in on countless players. I’ve even zoomed in on the refs. But I’ve ignored one of the most intense professions in all of sports. NFL Head Coach. Many develop heart problems, go through divorce, and suffer a kind of burnout that nobody talks about. For every Mike Tomlin that walks away clean, there’s a dozen more that never get the dust off of them.

Sponsored by DK. The NFL created scarcity by blocking off 99% of tickets from the public. Then the resellers used the internet to capitalize on that scarcity and drive the price up to the land of insanity. Every year, the resale market tests how much scarcity is worth, and every year, the answer is the same…more. Thanks to the low allotment, the supply stays pretty much the same, while demand keeps on growing. 99% of the tickets go to people of influence who use the game as a form of self-marketing. Making the event highly desirable for non-football fans who want to show their face at the event. Now their followers start to place a premium on the game and join the pool of fans fighting for the one percent of tickets. The pool gets bigger, and the bids get higher, and that’s how you end up with a chart like this. Regular people simply can’t compete in this market. So the experience he could have had back in 1990 is a thing of the past.

The Dark Side of NFL Retirement Is Worse Than You Think
There was a time when being drafted to the NFL was actually seen as no big deal. As a matter of fact, the world’s first Heisman winner and NFL draftee flat turned down a chance to play in the league. But then time passed – TV deals got signed. Team names and logos got embedded in the culture. And what was once seen as an ok job became the dream job for American boys. By the 70s, players like Randy Grimes spent all day dreaming of a moment like this. They lived this dream for 3 to 5 years, or if you’re lucky like Randy, your dream lasted even longer. But no matter how long a dream lasts, a core principle of dreams is that eventually, you gotta wake up. Some players woke up to a sobering reality, but it turns out they were the lucky ones…as others ended up waking up from their dream, straight into to a nightmare.

Why The NFL's Referee Problem Is Worse Than You Think
Huge thanks to Live It Up for sponsoring this video! Try it for yourself at https://yt.link/uEKE5U1 and use the code in my video to get up to 50% off and a free shaker bottle 🎁. Offer ends December 5th. Code: KARL15 In the 2018 NFC Championship game, if an obvious penalty is correctly called. The Saints get a first down, take a few knees, run the clock all the way down, kick a game-winning field goal, and return to the Super Bowl. Instead, the refs completely miss the call. The saints are forced to kick a field goal without the benefit of running the clock down. The Rams get the ball back, tie the game, and end up winning an overtime period that never should have even happened. Then they get wrecked in the Super Bowl, and the fans get robbed of a Drew Brees vs Tom Brady game that most people wanted to see. A game that could have had major implications on how Drew is remembered. A legacy game between the best ever and one of the best of his generation, completely erased out of reality, all because of bad officiating… This was 6 years ago now, and if you ask most fans, the officiating has only gotten worse since then. There seem to be some straightforward steps the league could take to outright fix (or at least improve) the horrible state of its officiating. This begs the question: Why won’t they? (fix officiating)
